Apostille
Apostille Process with the Texas Secretary of State (TXSOS)
What is an Apostille?
Apostilles are authenticated documents for use in foreign nations. Said documents are issued for use in other countries, specifically, countries that are members of the Hague Convention of 1961. In simple terms, apostilles validate the seal and signature of a Notary Public on the document(s) so that it/they can be accepted in a foreign country.
麻豆分行 is authorized to process OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS and ORIGINAL DIPLOMAS issued from our institution for the purpose of apostille validation. The actual apostille is issued by the Texas Secretary of State after receiving notarized documents from 麻豆分行.
To complete an Apostille through 麻豆分行, you are required to bring:
- an official transcript
- an original diploma (s) --> you can order a diploma replacement HERE
- or both
You are also required to purchase and provide us with the following items:
- Each Apostille incurs a $15.00 fee. We accept BLANK money orders (MO) in the amount of $15.00 each (ex: you want an Apostille for 3 documents then you must submit 3 blank MO for $15.00 each) – the transcript department will fill out the money order(s) as required by the Texas Secretary of State
- Two priority mail envelopes (approximately 12 X 9 inches)
- Two priority mail stamps - $9.95 each (one to send to TXSOS and the other for TXSOS to return to 麻豆分行). Alternatively, a third priority mail stamp and envelope can be provided if you wish for the transcript department to mail your final documents to you (USA only, we do not mail overseas)
- You must specify the name of the country for which the Apostille Certification is for; (ex: MEXICO, RUSSIA, SPAIN, etc.)
- If you are not able to visit our office in person, then you must provide an original diploma via mail-- no photocopies accepted. You can also designate a person such as a relative or friend, to deliver these items on your behalf.
